The Tallarook School Council is the school body comprising of Parent, Community and DEECD representatives that have the following roles and responsibilities:
- Determining educational policy, goals, and priorities of the Strategic Plan.
- Approving and monitoring school budgets.
- Ensuring that moneys are spent on appropriate purposes.
- Appointing Principals.
- Developing and approving various codes and policies.
- Preparing Annual Reports to the Department of Education.
- Overseeing buildings and grounds to ensure good order and condition.
- Providing necessary cleaning and sanitation services.
- Generally stimulating interest in the school.
- Being accountable to the community.
Early each year elections are held for positions on the school council. Please give this serious consideration when nominations are called for through ClassDojo.
